This is a copy of the email I shared with my Sunday School class this morning…..

Good Morning Friends!

I just wanted to say hello to you all. I woke this morning with you all on my heart!

Tomorrow we will continue reading excerpts of Pilgrim’s Progress. If you have an extra copy at home or an e-reader please bring it to share. I will be ordering more books soon.

Did you have a nice week? How did you like this heat? I pray you are all well, and have a good testimony of how the Lord touched your heart this week. Please share what the Lord has done for you! Feel free to reply all!

The Lord gave me an excellent week. The boys were away at camp and I missed them, but the good part was that I spent more time with the Lord and heard many wonderful things from him!

While I was using the elliptical bike at the Y this week, I was listening to Scriptures from the You Bible app on my headphones. Now, I do not use this as my devotional time, but just as a excellent way to hear more of God’s Word. I heard this wonderful promise to share with you!

“I tell you the truth,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life.” Luke 18:29-30

What a wonderful promise!

This scripture does not mean that we should leave our families, as you know, but it does mean that we must serve the Lord in obedience and forsake doing things our own way. The Lord wants us to follow Jesus for salvation and then as His disciples, which is what we are. When we follow the Lord wholeheartedly, and forsake obeying every other voice and desire, then He says we will receive ‘many times as much in this age“! So whatever you are leaving behind to follow the LORD’s directions, He will give to you many times as much!

Praise the Lord today, and follow Him in the little and big things!!
